PURPOSE:To obtain the titled composition useful as a feed additive or animal drug having improved palatability, economically in high quality without using an organic solvent, by removing microbial cells from fermentation culture liquid of a depsipeptide antibiotic substance and concentrating the liquid with a reverse-osmosis membrane. CONSTITUTION:Microbial cells are removed from a fermentation culture liquid of a depsipeptide antibiotic substance (e.g. neoviridogrisein, griseoviridin, etc.) and the treated liquid is concentrated with a reverse-osmosis membrane. The material and module of the reverse-osmosis membrane is selected according to the composition of the fermentation culture liquid, etc. In the case of a neoviridogrisen fermentation culture liquid, a spiral reverse-osmosis membrane made of cellulose acetate is preferable. The concentrated liquid is adjusted to <=6pH to precipitate the titled composition. The composition has improved palatability compared with conventional product. |
