PURPOSE:To obtain a distinct picture image by incorporating a specified hydrazine deriv. as a reducing agent into a photosensitive layer. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive layer contg. silver halide, a polymerizable compd., and a hydrazine deriv. expressed by the formula I is formed on a base. In the formula I, R<1> is H, or a univalent group selected from alkyl group, etc.; R<2> and R<3> are aryl group; R<4> is a univalent group selected from aryl group, heterocyclic group, etc. The hydrazine deriv. is a compd. having particulary superior function as a reducing agent for a photosensitive material, which functions to begin polymn. by decomposing quickly after being oxidized in a heat development stage to generate radical species. Thus, a distinct picture image having low minimum density and high maximum density is obtd. in a short time.
