<p>The automatic winding of extremely small electric reels (7) provided with a core, for example video reels, is carried out by means of at least one winding unit (3) which operates in association with at least one wire introduction device provided with an attachment hook. Each reel body support (11, 11') is provided with a corresponding wire support (12, 12'). During the winding operation, the reel body (7') is so arranged as to be motionless with its support device (11, 11'). The wire section (6) required for each reel (7) is pulled from a supply reel (41) by means of a wire deflection device (14). For the winding of the reel (7), the rotary winding unit (3) is provided with wire tensioning devices (32a, 32b, 32c, 32d) arranged on a height-adjustable winding head (31). The position of the winding unit is such that the attachment hook traverses horizontally both the wire tensioning device (32a, 32b, 32c, 32d) and the core opening of the reel body (7'). After securing of the wire (6) to a shoulder of the core of the reel (7') during the return of the attachment hook through the opening of the reel, the tensioning devices (32a, 32b, 32c, 32d) rotate successively by 270<o> so that each of them forms a complete turn.</p> |
