The machine has a mask (8) fixed to a support structure (1,3) of the machine and is formed with apertures which allow the passage of components, such as resistors, from reservoirs (5), disposed above the mask. The components are passed to the mask through a respective duct (10a,10b). The correct sequencing of the passage of a respective component through a duct to the mask is ensured by operation of sequencing devices (7) which provide horizontally sliding fingers to block or free the passage of a respective component. - The second mask (13) is disposed beneath the first mask and is movable relative to the support structure. It provides seats for the reception in a horizontal attitude of the respective components. The second mask is movable between a loading position, disposed beneath the fixed mask to receive the components dropped through the sequencing devices, and a withdrawn transfer position. At the transfer position it receives the printed circuit board which is provided with drops of glue on its surface at the appropriate sites corresponding to the positions of the components.
