PURPOSE:To provide a bituminous compsn. having excellent bond strength under high-temperature conditions and useful as a material for a rust inhibiting material, a sealing material, etc., by blending a copolymerization reaction product of a cyclopentadiene compd. and a specified compd. with a bituminous substance. CONSTITUTION:A cyclopentadiene compd. (a) is reacted with a vinyl-substd. arom. hydrocarbon (b) at 220 to 320 deg.C in an arom. hydrocarbon solvent for 1 to 8hr to obtain a copolymerization reaction product (A) having a component (a) monomer unit content of 80 to 30wt%, a softening point of 40 to 160 deg.C and a bromine value of 30 to 110g/100g. The component (a) is reacted with an unsaturated dicarboxylic acid (anhydride) (c) under the same conditions as those for the production of the component A to obtain a copolymerization reaction product (B) having a component (A) monomer unit content of 90 to 30wt%, a softening point of 60 to 200 deg.C, a bromine value of 10 to 200g/100g and an acid value of 100 to 500mgKOH/g. 100pts.wt. bituminous substance is blended with 1-70pts.wt. component A or B. |
