PURPOSE:To obtain the titled antistatic agent which can give a molding excellent in retentivity of an antistatic effect and printability and good in surface appearance, by mixing a specified alkyldiethanolamine with a specified higher alcohol. CONSTITUTION:An antistatic agent for polyolefin is obtained by mixing 30-70wt% alkyldiethanolamine of formula I (wherein R<1> is a mixture of 16 C and 18 C alkyl groups, provided that the ratio of the 16 C to the 18 C alkyl groups is 40/60-20/80) with 70-30wt% higher alcohol of formula II (wherein R<2> is R<1>) and, optionally, a small amount of SiO2. 0.1-5.0pts.wt. said antistatic agent is added to 100pts.wt. polyolefin resin. |
