PURPOSE:To enable accurate marking of the center position of a laser light at a measuring point, by providing an indicator section for setting the center position comprising a pair of first indicators arranged on both sides of an apparatus body. CONSTITUTION:A laser light 5 as measuring light is emitted to an object to be measured to irradiate a unit 1 set on the object. Then, the unit 1 is moved according to an indication on a display section 9 until the center of light passage are (P) of the laser light 5 passes the center of a light receiving section 8. Subsequently, a proper marking means is used to mark two positions of a pair of notches 10 and 10 for positioning provided sandwiching the light receiving section 8. A side end rim of the unit 1 is set along a straight line connecting marked points and notches 11 and 13 for first and third marking is matched with the marking positions of the pair of notches 10 and 10 for positioning. Under such a condition, a making is performed at the position of a notch 12 for second marking. The marked position by this notch will be the center position of the light receiving section 8. |
