PURPOSE:To make it possible to utilize recovered heat energy for several purposes, by supplying steam produced from an evaporator into one or more than two loads, and by refeeding low pressure fluid returning from the loads, into the evaporator after it is condensed. CONSTITUTION:A heat recovery device is composed of an evaporator 12 through which heat source water 24 such as factory effluent is fed, a high pressure steam header 14, a low pressure steam header 16, a condenser 18 and a pump 20, which are connected through pipe lines 22 to form a closed circuit. The condenser 18 is fed therethrough with cooling water 26 from a river or the like to cool down the steam. One or more than two loads (fluid equipment such as a stem turbine or the like) 28 are connected between the steam headers 14, 16, removably in parallel with each other. Pipe lines 22 upstream of the high pressure steam header 14 and downstream of the low pressure steam header 16 are connected with each other through a bypass line in which a pressure regulating valve 32 which is controlled by an output signal from a pressure sensor 34 for detecting the pressure of working fluid at the outlet of the evaporator 12.
