PURPOSE:To save the amount of transmission line and to attain the titled equipment with light weight and small size by using a light emitting diode in common for a light emitting element and a light receiving element and applying 2-way optical communication through a single optical fiber. CONSTITUTION:When the output of an EX-OR circuit 33 is at an L level, transistors (TRs) Q1, Q2, Q3 of a conversion circuit 12 are turned off and TRs Q4, Q5, Q6 are turned on. On the other hand, when the output of the EX-OR circuit 33 is at an H level, the TRs Q1, Q2, Q3 are turned on and the TRs Q4, Q5, Q6 are turned off and a forward current is conducted to a light emitting diode 15, which is lighted in this case. The light is sent to the opposite party through an optical fiber 14, thereby enabling the transmission. While one equipment is in the transmission state, the other equipment is in the reception state in this way. |
