PURPOSE:To effectively enhance resistance to liquefaction by attaching a vacuum pipe to a casing with an exciter. CONSTITUTION:An expanded diameter vibration part 2 is provided on the lower part of a casing 1, and an exciter 4 is attached to the upper end of the casing 1. Lateral and vertical vibrations are given by the exciter 3 in the vibrating part 2 and the exciter 4. A plurality of vacuum pipes 5 are provided to both sides of the casing 1. In this case, they are provided by biasing the position of the lower end suction port 5a by about 1.5m each for example,and a vacuum pump 6 is connected to the upper end of the pipes 5. The ground can thus be compacted by vibrating it in unsaturated state.
