The process uses a feed chamber for a heat-sensitised aq. dispersion of elastomer or plastomer, followed by a shaping element consisting of two concentric tubes with an inlet for heated compressed air. This passes through the feed chamber and shaping element by means of a third tube coaxial with and thermally insulated from the tubes, and which is extended downwards to the level of the bottom end of the shaping tubes.
