PURPOSE:To obtain a dehumidifying agent extremely low in deliquescence, by using either one of anhidrides of sodium secondary phosphate, sodium pyrophosphate, aluminum sulfate, aluminum potassium sulfate and sodium sulfate as a hygroscopically effective component. CONSTITUTION:A humidifying agent is prepared from a mixture consisting of a compound capable of holding absorbed moisture as combined water such as sodium secondary phosphate anhydride or the like used as a hygroscopically effective component and white carbon and talc, etc. added thereto and received in a moisture permeable container comprising paper to be used as the dehumidifying agent for clothes. Because moisture absorbed from an atmosphere is held as combined water, there is no possibility such that the components flowing out by deliquescence during use to contaminate clothes or such.
