The invention is a holster which is designed especially for holding a brush saw on a belt (1). The device contains a band (5) which at two points (6, 7) is fixed to a hip guard (2) attached to the belt (1). When empty, the band (5) hangs loosely between the two attachment points (6, 7). A hook (8) is attached to the band (5) by grommet (9) at a spot where the band (5) is folded over on itself. The hook (8) includes a leg (8) that is pointed upwards when in carrying position, as well as a downwards-pointing part (10, 11) that is curved. This curved part (10, 11) has a lower part that is closer to the hip guard (2) than the grommet (9). When the brush saw is hung in the curved part (11) the hook (8) is made to turn so that the leg's top part (13), which forms a working part, is brought against the hip guard (2). The device also includes a quick release position. In this, the leg (12) is pointed downward. To be put into this position the hand control (13) is turned down so that the hook turns. In the course of this movement the outside of the curved part (10) turns against the hip guard (2), so that resistance needs to be overcome in order for the hook to move into the release position.<IMAGE> |
