<p>PURPOSE:To constitute a hardware without using a high speed element by performing the first half or a predictive coding processing in parallel with a prediction system selecting processing and thereafter performing the second half of the predictive coding processing until a local decoding signal is obtained from a selection signal and a selected signal. CONSTITUTION:The coding processing in an adaptive predictive coder is divided into three of the first half part of the predictive encoding processing consisting of a prediction processing Bi', a quantizing processing Ci' and a local decoding processing Di', the second half part of the predictive coding processing consisting of a selection processing Ai' and the prediction system selecting processing. As for the sequence of these processing and the timing for generating the respective signals, in the (i+1)th sample, the time t8' requiring the selection signal S(i+1) is the later stage than the start time t5' of the (i+1)th sample time. Therefore, the first half part of the predictive coding processing and the prediction system selecting processing can be performed in parallel. Accordingly, the allowable time to the respective processing becomes long and a circuit can be constituted without especially using the high speed element.</p> |
