PURPOSE:To prevent the fluctuation of the rotation or the torque of an engine over a wide torsional angle range by providing a flywheel to be secured to the crankshaft and a second flywheel to be coupled therewith through a damper mechanism. CONSTITUTION:First flywheel 32 having the outercircumferential face formed with a ring gear 33b is coupled through a relatively thin coupling plate 31 to the rear end of a crankshaft 30. Second flywheel 36 is arranged concentrically in front of said flywheel 32, then they 32, 36 are coupled resiliently through a damper mechanism, i.e. a torsion spring 38. The second flywheel 36 is supported rotatably on the crankshaft 30 through a bearing 37c and a frictional damping mechanism 40 is placed between said flywheel 36 and the spline hab 35f of a clutch disc 34. A cone spring 46 for energizing the frictional plate 50 of said mechanism 40 is placed between said plate 50 and the spline hab 35f. |
