PURPOSE:To lower the cost of a memory device and to increase the entire number of memory data by directly storing data groups at a prescribed interval among the series of data groups of analog information signals such as video signals in the first memory means as it is and storing the data other than these data in the second memory means. CONSTITUTION:The nth data signal among the series of the data signal sequence of the prescribed bit number obtained by A/D converting the analog information signal is stored in a memory circuit 8 having a memory unit of the prescribed bit number. In the n+1st and the n+2nd data signals the difference data signal indicating the difference between the arithmetic means value of the values indicated by the data signals in the vicinity of the respective data signals and the value of the data signal is stored in the memory circuit 9 having the bit number of the memory unit smaller than the first memory means. The (n+3)th data is sequentially repeated as the nth data to store the data signal sequence. Thereby, the analog information signal memory device of large quantity of memory information can be constituted with a comparatively low cost.
