PURPOSE:To prevent hunting except the time of constant speed running and improve fuel consumption rather than bunting during constant speed running by controlling OFF timing of a supercharger according to a signal from a constant speed running detecting means. CONSTITUTION:When a constant speed running device is detected in ON according to a constant speed running detecting means C, a difference between ON- OFF timing of a supercharger existing in the driving control means B of the supercharger 38, for example, a hysteresis width is reduced by approaching the lowest limit toward the highest limit, the supercharger is turned into OFF quickly almost without hysteresis, and a improvement of fuel consumption is planned. The supercharger repeats ON-OFF according to loads when the constant speed running device is in OFF, but the occurrence of excessive hunting can be prevented because hysteresis (or delay time) is given in the ON-OFF timing.
