PURPOSE:To prevent raising of oil, by a method wherein the rod of a displacer piston is extended through a hollow rod through which the power piston of a Stirling engine is communicated with a cross head thereof, and an oil absorbing material is situated in the hollow rod. CONSTITUTION:A rod 19 of a displacer piston 20 of a Stirling engine is extended through a power piston 15, a hollow rod 14, intercoupling a power piston 15 and a cross head 13, and a displacer piston 13, and is coupled to a lower crank shaft. Oil absorbing materials 30 and 33 and an oil splashing preventing plate 31 are situated between the hollow rod 14 and the rod 19 to prevent raising of oil along the surface of the displacer piston rod 19.
