The invention consists in using shutters as double windows. They are made from incorruptible materials such as aluminium and triplex glass used under conditions of perfect leaktightness. The fixed frame 3 is positioned in the reveal; it comprises a seal 4 with peripheral deformation. The leaf or the leaves 7 is or are articulated to the frame so as to project externally and are locked by a "three point" system 8. The screen, which has a winding-up device 5 and is positioned as a lintel, blocks out daylight and prying eyes; it constitutes two isothermal layers. The saving in heat is substantial because, when closed all day long in winter, these shutters provide: light, heat, safety, absence of draughts. <IMAGE>
