This device comprising at least one base plate 2 and at least one fin keel 3 is characterised in that it is provided with connecting means 4, 5 between the base plate 2 and the fin keel 3 making possible passage from a transport position in which the fin keel 3 and the base plate 2 can be applied against one another to a use position in which means keep the fin keel 3 in a plane which is essentially perpendicular to the base plate 2. This base plate is equipped with means 6, 6' for rapid fixing to the hull of the floating craft 1. The invention is applicable in particular to sailboards. <IMAGE>
