PURPOSE:To improve initial conformability, by a method wherein a flame- sprayed resin film having 40wt% or more a fluorine content is formed on a slide contact member surface. CONSTITUTION:A flame-sprayed layer is formed on the whole of an inner peripheral surface 1a of a rotary housing 1 of a rotary engine and an apex seal 6 by flame-spraying polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) particle by means of a plasma gun. 40wt% or more fluorine is contained in the flame-sprayed layer. This constitution improves initial conformability.
