PURPOSE:To attain the positioning with high accuracy of a head core without damaging the head core by using a vacuum sucker so as to suck the head core and approaching the vacuum sucker to an L-shaped member for positioning the head core in a prescribed angular direction. CONSTITUTION:The head core 2 is placed on the vacuum sucker 1 so as to suck the head core 2 to the vacuum sucker 1. The head core 2 is one of two head cores 5, 6 sticked to a head base 4 of a double azimuth head 3. Then the vacuum sucker 1 is moved by a carrying means and the head core 2 is approached to the L-shaped member 7 in a direction of angle theta to approach the head core 2 to the L-shaped member 7 in the direction of angle theta and contacted. When the head core 2 is in contact with the L-shaped member 7 in this way, the movement of the vacuum sucker 1 is stopped to complete the positioning of the head core 2.
