PURPOSE:To obtain a monostable multivibrator with excellent temperature characteristic and less variation by designing the titled multivibrator so that the pulse width is decided by astatic capacitance of a capacitor in an integrated circuit, an externally mounted resistor and the resistance ratio in the integrated circuit. CONSTITUTION:A couple of output terminals of a differential amplifier circuit comprising transistors (TRs) 1, 2 receiving an input signal from input terminals 7, 8 are connected respectively to emitter follower TRs 12, 13 and a capacitor 16 is connected between the emitters. TRs 14, 15 acting like a current source having an identical current to emitters of the emitter follower TRs 12, 13 are connected and the current value of the current source is set by the externally mounted resistor 18. An output signal having a prescribe pulse width deciding the capacitor 16 and the externally mounted resistor 18 is formed from the leading and trailing edge of the input pulse by utilizing a voltage across the capacitor 16.
