PURPOSE:To prevent destruction due to the write of information by comparing preliminarily an area to be transferred with the area of the transfer destination and transferring data while discriminating whether there is a new data transferable area or not each time when the data of a data transferable area is transferred. CONSTITUTION:When picture data stored in areas X1-X4 of an image memory 13 is rotated and stored in other areas Y1-Y4 overlapping partially said areas by a picture processor 12, the area of the transfer source and that of the transfer destination are compared with each other to determine areas Y2, X6, X3, and X5 as untransferable areas and areas Y1, X5, X3, X6, Y3, and Y4 as transferable areas. Storage areas X1, X7, Y2, X6, X3, and X4 of data which will be transferred to transferable areas by 90 deg. rotation out of data in areas of the transfer source are obtained. Data of the transfer source in transferable areas is transferred. Next, it is checked whether data is transferred from untransferable areas or not; and if data is transferred there, data untransferable areas are changed to data transferable areas. |
