发明名称 DAMPING FORCE CONTROL METHOD FOR DAMPER
摘要 PURPOSE:To control the damping force of a damper in accordance with the condition of a road surface, by changing over the mode of the damper among hard, normal and soft modes in accordance with the pulse width of a binary pulse signal delivered from an acceleration sensor. CONSTITUTION:When a signal from an acceleration sensor 32 for detecting vertical acceleration exceeds a predetermined value, a value of 1 is set while when it is below the predetermined value, a value of 0 is set. Pulse signals having these values are delivered to a converter 33 which converts the pulse signal into voltage values that are compared in a comparator 34. When the value is equal to a predetermined value, a signal A having a value of HA is delivered to a comparator drive circuit 35 while when it is higher than the predetermined value, a signal A having a value of LA is delivered to the comparator drive circuit 35. Meanwhile, the acceleration sensor 32 delivers signals B having values HB, LB, directly to the circuit 35. The combination of the signals A, B allows HA and HB to deliver an actuating signal for a hard mode to an actuator 17 while HA and LB or LA and HB delivers an actuating signal for a normal mode, and LA and LB delivers an actuating signal for a soft mode. With this arrangement, it is possible to control the damping force in accordance with the condition of a road surface.
