CONTACTLESS ELECTROMAGNETIC DRIVE FOR PENDULUM OR BALANCE WHEEL CLOCKS CONTAINING TWO TRANSISTORS OF DIFFERENT CONDUCTION TYPE COUPLED BY CAPACITIVE FEED-BACK. THIS ELIMINATES THE CURRENT CONSUMPTION DURING PAUSES THUS MAKING THE DEVICE MORE ECONOMICAL. THE DRAWING SHOWS THE PROPOSED DEVICE. IT CONTAINS A COIL (1) IN WHICH E.M.F. IS INDUCED BY A PERMANENT MAGNET ON THE PENDULUM. THIS E.M.F. PULSE OPENS THE TRANSISTOR CIRCUIT AND CURRENT FLOWS FROM THE SOURCE (2) THROUGH THE COIL (1). THE FIELD GENERATED BY THE COIL INTERACTS WITH THE MAGNET AND IMPARTS A PULSE TO THE PENDULUM WHOSE DURATION DEPENDS ON THE RESISTOR IN THE CAPACITOR (3) CIRCUIT. NO CURRENT IS CONSUMED BETWEEN PULSES AS THE CONDUCTION OF THE TRANSISTORS (4,5) IS OPPOSITE. THEY ARE BLOCKED DURING PAUSES. THE CONNECTIONS ARE AS SHOWN IN THE DRAWING.
