PURPOSE:To simplify a manufacturing process, and to obtain a dark-time output positively by forming a picture element region electrically floating a signal charge storage diode and a picture element electrode adjacent to an effective pickup picture element region in a signal charge transfer section. CONSTITUTION:Since a contact hole for electrically conducting a picture-element electrode wiring 7 and a storage diode 4 is not formed, a picture elememt electrode 9 is floated electrically, and an electric field is not shaped to a photoconductive film 10. Consequently, electron-hole pairs formed in the photoconductive film 10 by incident beams are not drifted by an external electric field, and are moved only by the diffusion of carriers, but they recombine without being injected to the storage diode 4. Accordingly, only the dark current component, which is constant at all times regardless of incident beams, a dark- time output, of the storage diode 4 can be acquired in an optical black. |
