<p>In a ball-shaped head coupling for Bowden cables, particularly for connecting actuating elements to control elements in motor vehicles, the Bowden cable (1) comprises an end piece (2) provided with a ball-shaped socket and the actuating or control element (5) is provided with a ball-shaped head (6) retained in the ball-shaped socket. The ball-shaped socket is comprised of a calotte (7) of reduced height, in other words smaller than the radius of the ball, the ball-shaped head (6) being held on the opposite side to the calotte (7) by an abutment secured to a cross bar (9) parallel to the medial plane of the ball-shaped head and laterally elastic. The elastic cross bar (9) is offset with respect to the medial plane (M) of the ball-shaped head towards the insertion side thereof and the abutment (8) holds the opposite side of the ball-shaped head. The connection area between the abutment (8) and the elastic cross bar (9) is chamfered so that, forming a chamfered surface (10), there is formed on the insertion side of the ball-shaped head (6) an insertion funnel of the ball-shaped head as well as a connection surface (11) thereto at a distance from the bottom of the calotte (7) corresponding to diameter ball-shaped head (6).</p> |
