Method and device used for the thermal combustion of oxidizable gas components in process gasses. The gasses are conducted through a post combustion device (10) comprising amongst other elements a combustion chamber (18) and a process gas outlet (24). The cleaned exhaust gasses discharged through the process gas outlet (24) are mixed with gasses used in the process in order to maintain constant their concentration.
