Layered products for use as base materials for roofing and sealing felts according to Patent Application P 3435643.6, which consist of a preconsolidated synthetic fibre web and a preconsolidated mineral fibre web, which have been bonded together by needling, are improved in respect of their dimensional stability, in particular in the transverse direction, when the preconsolidated mineral fibre web contains reinforcing yarns made of a mineral material which extend in the longitudinal direction.
