<p>A portable apparatus for electrostatically spray coating the surface of an object 200 to be coated with an atomised liquid, comprises an atomising cup 50 for emitting atomised liquid into a high electric field created between the cap and object. The liquid is fed to an inlet 24 and fed to the interior of the cup via a line 27 under the control of a trigger-actuated valve 28.
