A cartridge for the regeneration of breathing gas with a filling of chemicals through which an axial flow can flow and which is arranged in a container between perforated bottoms, is to be improved in such a manner that the filling of chemicals is uniformly consumed at relatively high flow velocities of the breathing gas, that local breakthroughs are avoided and that a vibration-proof construction of the bottoms is achieved without additional expenditure.
