PURPOSE:To permit the increase of the number of indexing as well as a high speed indexing by a method wherein one position of a rotary valve is rendered to correspond to more than one or two numbers of the body to be indexed. CONSTITUTION:A tool pot, holding a plurality of tools as the bodies to be indexed, is rotated by the rotation of a hydraulic motor 5 through gears 4, 3 and sprockets 1a, 1b. This rotation is measured by an encoder 58 and is sent by an operation processing unit. In case the number of tools is twelve pieces and the rotary valve 9 indexes one tool capable of four sets of indexing through solenoids 40-43, the motor 5 is rotated through oil passageways 60, 61. Revolving number is measured by the encoder and when a predetermined tool has approached, it is rotated by the oil passageways 11, 12 through the rotary valve 9. The valve 9 stops oil to be sent to the motor 5 when the tool has come to a desired position to stop the motor 5. |
