The lance for injecting a gas and/or a powder into a molten metal comprises a pipe (1) clad with a coating (2) of refractory material. The material forming the coating (2) consists of refractory and basic, either silicoalumina or alumina particles embedded in a binder. These refractory particles can be sintered at the temperature of the molten metal. Use especially for injecting a gas such as argon into the molten steel present in a casting ladle. <IMAGE> |
