PURPOSE:To shorten a measuring time and to prevent excessive drying, by shortening an interruption time when the supply time of a predetermined number of grains in long and elongating the same when short. CONSTITUTION:When a part of grain 26 is supplied between a plate 10 and a first half part 4, the grain 26 moves one at a time by a grain feed roll 3 to move from the position of a spiral feed groove 6 to the position of the spiral feed groove 6 of a grain feed spiral blade 8. The grain 26 is fallen from a notch part 13 at said position to be ground by electrode rollers 14, 15 and the moisture of grain particles were supplied, measurement is interrupted and a predetermined amount of grain particles are again supplied before measurement is again interrupted. The repeatedly measured results are averaged to obtain a moisture value. An interruption time is shortened when the supply time of a predetermined number of particles is long and made long when short.
