PURPOSE:To display a measured value when the raise rate of the measured value of a clinical thermometer decreases below a specific value by deciding whether or not the rise rate of the measured value of temperature is below the specific value and switching an estimated value display to a measured value display. CONSTITUTION:The clinical thermometer 11 estimates convergent temperature from the measured value detected by a temperature sensor 12 and displays the estimated value. When the sensor 12 detects the bodily temperature, its detection signal is A/D- converted 13 and then inputted to a CPU 14. The CPU 14 inputs the detection signal, i.e. measured value at intervals of specific sampling time to output and stores it in a memory 15, and also outputs the measured value to a display device 16, which displays the measured value. Namely, an estimation switching means 5 switches the measured value display of a display means 3 to the estimated value display after the estimation of the estimating means 4 and then a rise calculating means 6 calculates the rise rate of the measured value; and a decision means 7 judges whether or not the rise rate is less than the specific value and a measured value switching means 8 switches the estimated value display to the measured value display when the rise rate becomes a low raise rate.
