PURPOSE:To perform continuous polycondensation of the titled resin with a simple inexpensive apparatus, by integrating an impeller, a discharger and a feeder in the body of a vessel into a whole. CONSTITUTION:A highly viscous liquid to be treated (e.g., polyethylene terephthalate) is fed through an entrance nozzle 8 to the body 1 of a vessel, mixed by agitation with an impeller 3, polycondensed and allowed to reach a weir 5 at the extremity of a mixing chamber 12. The liquid goes over a gangway 14 on the top of the weir 5 and flows into a gear chamber 13, sent downwardly by the rotation of gears 4a and 4b and discharged at a constant rate from an exit nozzle 9 by transmitting a rotation torque from a rotary axis 2a on the driving side to a rotary axis 2 on the driven side. Volatile matte formed in the body 1 is discharged from an exit nozzle 10. |
