THERMAL CRACKING DEVICE WITH STANDARD SAMPLE INTRODUCING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To permit easy qualitative analysis of the resulted product of thermal cracking by determining the position where a standard sample introduced through a sample introducing port is evaporated to the position near a boad for thermal cracking of a thermal cracking tube. CONSTITUTION:A hollow operating rod 34 is movably attached to the base end of a quartz tube 30 and the inside of the quartz tube 30 is airtightly maintained by an O-ring 48. A platinum boat 36 contg. the sample is attached to the top end of the operating rod 34. The base end of the operating rod 34 is screwed with a fitting 52 via a packing 38 and a hole 54 to be used as the standard sample introducing port is provided to the center of the fitting 52. A needle of a microsyringe is inserted via the packing 38 through the hole 54 and the standard sample is injected into the tube after the needle tip is positioned at the point A near the platinum boat 36. The time difference in the holding time between the chromatogram peak of the component contained in the resulted product of thermal cracking and the chromatogram peak of the standard sample having the same component is thereby eliminated.
