PURPOSE:To improve the adhesiveness to a substrate and to make the quality of a recording layer uniform by forming an underlying layer, recording layer and protective film on a transparent conductive film formed on the substrate while energizing the transparent conductive film. CONSTITUTION:The transparent conductive film 2 consisting of In2O3 or the like is formed on the substrate 1 consisting of plastic such as acryl. Electrodes 5 consisting of Al or the like is formed by vapor deposition in the central part A and peripheral part B. While DC current is allowed to flow to the electrodes 5, the underlying layer 3 consisting of ZnS, etc., the recording layer 4 consisting of TbFeCo, etc., and the protective film 5 consisting of SiO2, etc. are formed by a vapor deposition method, etc. An inconvenience such as thermal deformation of the substrate 1 is made hardly generatable according to the above-mentioned method, by which the adhesiveness is improved and the uniformity of quality of the recording layer 4 is improved.
