PURPOSE:A suppository which has low irritation to affected part of hemorrhoids in insertion into the anus, does not dirty fingers and has improved feeling in use, comprising a tip part of the suppository having a specific temperature and a base part of the suppository having a specified melting point, making ratios of the tip part and the base part to the whole suppository constant. CONSTITUTION:A multi-layer suppository comprising a tip part having 30-35 deg.C melting point which is >=1 deg.C lower than that of a base part and the base having 35 deg.C-45 deg.C melting point, having a ratio of the tip part to the whole suppository of 5-50wt%. Macrogol a combination of macrogol 600 (20-25 deg.C melting point) and macrogol 1,000 (37-40 deg.C melting point) may be cited as a base for the tip part of the suppository and a combination macrogol 1,000, macrogol 1,500, macrogol 1,540, etc., as a base for the base part of the suppository. Soiling of fingers can be prevented by using the base part of the suppository having the higher melting point than the surface temperature of the fingers and the tip part is partially melted and actions of lubricating oil are carried out by using the tip part of the suppository having the lower melting point than the surface temperature of the anus.
