PURPOSE:To save the data transmission time and to improve the processing efficiency by employing a transmission buffer on a transmission side as a reception buffer on a reception side. CONSTITUTION:After a user program 2 stores data to be actually transmitted in an actual data transmission buffer SRA 10 and the address information, length information included in data to be transmitted and information on the destination of a transmission party in a virtual data transmission buffer SVA 11, it reports a transmission request together with the address information in the SVA 11 and hands over its control to a communication control program 1. If an address is dissident with the destination of the user program 2 in a program to await fetching and receiving the address information of the SVA 11 and destination information, the operation is handed over to an operating system 4. When the destination of the user program is coincident with the address in a user program 3, the contents of the SVA 11 in the user program 2 are transferred to a virtual data reception buffer RVB 15 in the user program 3, which is activated.
