PURPOSE:To form continuously straight line patterns of fixed width by flowing down coating through a plurality of perforations of a coating gutter crossing in rectangular with the direction of conveying building materials and, at the same time, overflowing coating from the gutter and carrying out coating. CONSTITUTION:While continuously supplying coating 6 in a flow quantity overflowing from an overflow opening 4, from a coating tank 7 to a coating gutter 5 by a coating pump 9, building materials 1 are continuously conveyed with a conveyor 2. The coating 6 supplied to the coating gutter 5 falls from coating discharge holes 3 perforated at a fixed interval to form straight patterns of fixed width on the surface of the building materials 1. Since the coating 6 is sent into the coating gutter 5 overflowing, discharge pressure is always constant, and the overflowing coating 6 is sent into the coating tank 7 through a coating drip pan 8 to prepare a continuous coating.
