PURPOSE:To obtain a ribbon cartridge for a printer capable of extending the life of a film ribbon with simple external operation, by forming a structure for reversible mounting each roller part of a feed roller in correspondence to the film ribbon. CONSTITUTION:A cartridge main body 1 receiving a film ribbon 2 is equipped with a ribbon feed-out roller 3, a ribbon take-up roller 4, a feed roller 5 and a pressure roller 6. As the feed roller 5, a stepped roller equipped with two roller parts 5E, 5F having different diameters is used. Uneven parts are formed to the outer peripheries of the roller parts 5E, 5F in almost parallel to a center axis to smoothly feed the film ribbon 2. The feed roller 5 can be easily mouned and detached with respect to the notch parts 1C, 1D formed to the cartridge main body 1 in the perfectly same shape. The roller part 5E having a small diameter of the feed roller 5 is contacted with the film ribbon 2 and ribbon feed quantity is also reduced. If the feed quantity of the film ribbon is reduced, the ribbon 2 can be used for along time.
