PURPOSE:To make the spreading in an optimum state of a printing plate by one worker possible and to obtain the remarkably beautiful finish of a printing surface, by connecting a winding axis to a single motor using a differential gear mechanism, a worm gear mechanism, and a torque limiter from an appropriate conduction means. CONSTITUTION:The hook bar 21 at one end of the film 18 to which a printing plate 19 is adhered, is obliquely inserted into the groove 12a of a plate cylinder 12 and securely detained between a presser bar 16 and the inlet part of a groove 12a. When the plate cylinder 12 is rotated and a winding axis 13 comes nearly, the other hook bar 20 of a printing plate film 18 is obliquely pressed into the groove 13a of the winding axis 13 and held between a presser bar 15 and the inlet of the groove 13a. The film 18 is wound along the peripheral surface of the plate cylinder 12 to be in a loosened state. By driving a motor 1, the winding axis 13 is rotated counterclockwise via a torque limiter 2, a driving shaft 3, worm gear mechanisms 4, 5, a differential gear mechanism 7, the gear 10 of driving shaft 8, and an idler gear 11. The printing plate 18 becomes in a thoroughly stretched state. If it becomes not less than a tension state, the torque limiter 2 is actuated.
