PURPOSE:To remove phosphor effectively by exposing a mixture of waste water containing phosphor and BOD with active sludge to a safe anaerobic zone and an aerobic zone one by one and discharging phosphor out of active sludge in the anaerobic zone. CONSTITUTION:Flowing-in waste water containing phosphor and BOD is led from a line 1 to an anaerobic zone A and agitated and mixed with active sludge returning from a sedimentation zone D through lines 4 and 2. Mixed liquid from the anaerobic zone A is sent to a denitrifying zone B and agitated and contacted with inner circulation liquid to be recycled from an aerobic zone C through a line 6. Mixed liquid from denitrifying zone B is transferred to the aerobic zone C. At the aerobic zone C, an aeration is carried out by introducing gas containing oxygen. By said process, a stabilized and good dephosphorization effect is maintained for a long period of time.
