APPARATUS FOR TREATING EXHAUST GAS

PURPOSE:To perform the purification of exhaust gas in a short section, by providing a dish-shaped disc and a piercing hole to the hollow shaft in a cylindrical canister and mounting a fan for exhausting air. CONSTITUTION:A hollow shaft 2 is supported in a corrosion resistant cylindrical canister 1 comprising stainless steel in a rotatable manner by a bearing unit 3 and dish-shaped discs 4 comprising durable material quality such as PVC are fixed to the shaft 2 at an arbitral interval 5. A liquid having chemicals fitted to the properties of exhaust gas dissolved therein is stored in a liquid tank 7 and the chemical liquid in the liquid tank 7 is introduced into the shaft 2 under pressure through a liquid feed pipe 8 and a pump 9 and the shaft 2 is rotated by a motor 18 to suck in exhaust gas from a suction port 10. The chemical liquid injected from a piercing hole 6 violently impinges against the discs 4 to be formed into a spray state and mixed with the exhaust gas to absorb the contaminant in the gas. Purified air is exhausted to an exhaust port 15 by a fan 14 and the contaminated liquid is discharged from a discharge port 16.
