PURPOSE:To make it possible to treat a plurality of processes in the same machinery, by providing a drying chamber formed so as to have an almost cylindrical cross-section or an almost U-shaped cross-section and opened in the upper main body having a heating means provided to the outer peripheral part thereof in a 180 deg. revolvable manner. CONSTITUTION:A slurry dryer 1 is constituted of a drive part 2, a dryer main body 27, a stirring part 55 and a movable piping part. The main body 27 is formed into a cylindrical box shape having a drying chamber 27A consisting of a cylindrical jacket part 28 having a predetermined diameter, a side lid 43, a side plate 45 and a liquid lead-out lid body 48. An opening part 34 is provided to the upper side of the jacket part 28 over a predetermined angular range and a seal member 35 having the mount seat of the liquid lead-out lid body 58 is mounted on the peripheral edge of the opening pat 34. The liquid lead-out lid body 48 is mounted to the opening part 34 of the main body 27 and consists of a mount frame 49 and a lead-out frame 50, and a filter plate 51 is mounted on the mount frame 49 in a detachable manner. The main body 27 is rotated by the revolution of a cylindrical rotary shaft 11.
