PURPOSE:To enable the reverse torque to be surely absorbed, by aiming at the fact, in which a zero point exists when a rotary shaft is rotated in the reverse direction of rotation from the normal direction of rotation, and engaging internal and external spur gears, which constitute a gear clutch, at the reverse direction of rotation. CONSTITUTION:When a rotary shaft 4 in the side of a driving machine coupled to a driven machine is rotated in the reverse direction of rotation C, the condition that a speed is zero surely exists in the rotary shaft 4, accordingly the head part of a ratchet 14 in an intermediate member 10 is lifted by a spring 13 and meshed to a notch 9 of the second joint member 7, and a coupling of force is generated between the both members 10, 7. At this time, thrust force is generated by the meshing between an external gear helical spline 6 of the first joint member 5 and an internal gear helical spline 11 of the intermediate member 10, and the intermediate member 10 is moved in the direction A till it is adapted to a stopper 15, while an external spur gear 12 of the intermediate member 10 is engaged to an internal spur gear 8 of the second joint member 7. Here the reverse torque from the side of the driven machine is absorbed by the meshing between the both spur gears 12, 8. |
