PURPOSE:To reconcile the responsiveness and stability of steering by steering rear wheels in the opposite phase to front wheels during the turning operation of a vehicle and steering the rear wheels in the same phase as the front wheels when the turning operation is terminated. CONSTITUTION:When a steering wheel is turned to the right at a segment T2, a steering angle detection signal theta is gradually increased, and a vehicle body starts a turning operation. In response to it, rear wheels are left-turn- controlled in the opposite phase to front wheels, and the turning performance is improved. Next, when the steering wheel is returned to the neutral position at a segment T3, the vehicle body is made a turn termination state. Then, the rear wheels are steered to the right in the same phase as the front wheels. |
