PURPOSE:To integrally form a layered expanded molding excellent in strength and impact resistance and having clear boundary between different kinds of beads by a method in which two kinds or more of pre-expanded resin beads of different synthetic resins and/or different expansion ratios are packed in a multi- stage manner. CONSTITUTION:A slider 4 movable in the opening and closing directions of molds along the forming boundary of two layers in parallel with the opening and closing directions of the molds is set in the molds 1 and 2. Pre-expanded beads are packed into the molds by a packer 3 or 3', heated, and cooled for temporary hot bonding. The molds are then opened to a given degree of aperture, and the slider 4 is moved and temporarily bonded in the molds. Different kind of beads are packed into the aperture in the molds by the packer 3 or 3', and the molds are clamped, heated, and cooled. These operations as mentioned above are repeated one time or more, and they are heated to obtain an integral molding. |
